Tongeren Antique & Flea Market

Tongeren, Belgium
www.tongeren.be
Sunday Mornings 0600-1300
Rain or Shine

Great selection of antique finds just like what vendors bring to the local bazaars but usually quite a bit cheaper. The drive is only an hour and a half from Spangdahlem! We usually leave around 6am but 5am is more ideal. Arrive early or the best finds are gone however later in the day prices do become a bit cheaper as vendors will bargain even lower. We went recently on a rainy day and the vendors were still up and running so no matter the weather if you want to enjoy a nice relaxing Sunday morning, head to Tongeren! Just input Tongeren, Belgium into your GPS and it will take you right to it then follow signs for centrum. Once in Tongeren you can park along the streets but the best parking area for the morning is at the train station which you'll see on your right as you enter town. Make sure to stop at the restaurant over the autobahn rest area before entering Tongeren for a restroom break before entering the city. Once at the Antique market you can find a WC inside the antique hall 1 in the back of the cafe. Make sure you have your change on hand as both places charge 30 euro cents per person for the WC.

If you'd prefer to head up on a Saturday night instead of driving over early Sunday morning the Ambiotel looks to be a great hotel located right in the center of the market.
